take a worldful of Technology + Business + Design. Shake vigorously. Enjoy!

Hello World!

I was going to write my first post about people who have inspired me to blog. Just as I was going to start, I read the default message titled “Hello world!” which went on to read “Welcome to WordPress.com. This is your first post…”.

wWorld! Hello indeed! This one’s for You.

  1. I love You
  2. The first computer program
  3. Did I just say Hello to the World?

I love You: Call me philosophical/touchy-feely, but I love this World! It is such a fascinating place to be in. Nature, people, business, technology, art — it is all so fascinating! World, I am in awe of You and to You I give my 100%.

The first computer program: I wrote my first computer program program as a freshman: Project 1 – Hello world. Suddenly the computer was not ‘sacred’. I was on my way to making software. “Hello world” though a little ‘program’, was a first step that I will never forget. (PS: If you started programming when you were five, I’m jealous of you)

Hello World! I love technology. As a kid, I remember watching documentaries (Bright Sparks) and my jaw would drop as I would learned about super-cars, energy saving trucks and the like. I also remember spending hours looking at the gears of my Lego or Tamiya toys and being fascinated by the mechanisms. There’s something magical about making something new, pushing the bounds of possibility, and making life better. Combine technology with all the interesting socio-cultural norms that make us human, and you get the Internet. The realization that what I am writing at this moment can be read by the whole world (almost! We’ll be there!) leaves me speechless. I will stop here :-)
